Introducing DT Member Claire

Hi Everyone

Hope you had a good week.

Time is flying on, Half way through May already.  Won't be long before September is here and the first challenge goes live.

In the meantime, I would like to introduce to another one of the Unicorn Challenges DT Members.

I'm Claire and I love to cross stitch!  I live in Hampshire with my husband of nearly 12 years and our 7 year old son.  We have a cat who is not helpful when I'm trying to craft! I've been stitching since I was small, I used to do one big picture at a time but am running out of wall space so had to become more selective.  I started making small cross stitch pictures to make into cards a couple of years ago, they weren't very good back then, just the stitching in an aperture card. I've gradually become more adventurous with background papers and embellishments and started entering challenge blogs in January.  I'm now beginning to colour digital stamps with promarkers but art was never my strong suit so I am struggling with the shading. I hope to have something of a good enough standard to blog by the end of the year.  I still do the big cross stitch pictures, I'm doing a reindeer that I'm determined will be a cushion by Christmas.  Then I have a picture of an oriental scene in a fan shape to do and then the biggie - a Heaven and Earth design called Treasure Hunt Bookshelf. It is a beautiful picture but the chart is over 50 pages long  so it's going to take years!  Can't wait to get started though!
Here's something on a smaller scale that I have made recently.

To see more of Claire's Creations please click on her name to be taken to her blog.

Next week will bring you the introduction of the final DT Member (Oh that's me!) and then on 1st June our GD call will go live for the whole of the month, so if you would like to be our Guest Designer for October then make sure you link up sometime in June.

Have a Great Week!
