My name is Helen and I live in the north west of England on the Wirral peninsula.  I work for a charity called the Abbeyfield Society as an Activities Coordinator looking after older people and helping them to stay active.  I also teach weekend stamping and card making classes for Little Claire.  Card making is my main crafty interest and I'm lucky enough to design for several companies as well as being part of the Design Team for a range of challenge blogs.  My card making style is what I call 'clean and simple with layers' and I love stamping, using digi stamps and my Promarkers"

Here is a bit about her and her fabulous creation.

  I am a very proud single mum of a son called James and a little female Jack Russell called Jess, I am an avid animal lover especially dogs.  I started crafting about 10yrs ago it was something that I felt I needed while being off work long term sick, after accepting early retirement crafting became my life line.  I started off with decoupage but rapidly moved onto rubber stamping and in the last few years that love includes digital stamps.  I joined the Joanna Sheen forum and started a blog I have never looked back.  I have been so proud and honored to have served on many DT I have also made many long standing blogging buddies which has brought me a lot of happiness.

Claire's August Post

Hello everyone, it's my turn to share a card with you again.  We're all so excited at here at Unicorn as next week we GO LIVE!!  We can't wait to launch our first challenge on Tuesday 1st September.  

This is a cute little mouse that came free with a magazine, I can't remember which one now as it was a while ago.  Christmas cards are my favourite ones to make so although it's August I'm getting ahead! I have made other cards with these mice which can be found on my blog.

Jackie's August Post

Hi there I am Jackie and I am here to share a card with you this month before the challenge goes live next month. I can't tell you how pleased I am to be on the Design Team.  It is all so exciting and I can't wait to see what everyone creates.

This card I made for my Father-in-law's birthday. He is partially sighted, in fact he is registered blind, so I like to make him cards with a lot of texture so he can feel them . He loves the cards I make him and he always phones up to say thank you.

The stamp (Nutkin), embossing folder and masks all came from Creative Expressions. I created the leaves with some punches I have and the tree was made with a memory box die. 

Enjoy the rest of the month. Next week Claire will be sharing a creation with you. After that it is all systems go for the challenge.

Lisa's August Post

Hello Everyone

It is less than a month to go now before our First Challenge.  The Team and I are so excited.  We cannot wait to have you come and join in with us and we are really looking forward to visiting your blogs.  There really are some fabulous creations out there.  I often wonder where everyone gets their ideas from,  All the cards are so different and it always amazes me how even when the same Image is used several times over by different crafters, the cards are always so different!

Anyway It is my turn to share a Card with you this week.  As before, we each shared a card with you in July.  The same will happen this month and then its GO LIVE time!!!

I have used an Art By Miran Image called Bashful Belinda.  If you had the chance to read my Introduction Post in May you will know that I love colouring in GreyScale/Monochrome tones using my ProMarkers.  I love for this Gorgeous Girl.

There is not much else for me to say now other than Thank you for sharing this card with me and I really hope to see you again when we start the Challenge and don't forget to come back and see the other girls wonderful creations throughout this month.
